Home & Family Expo is Ellis County's largest consumer expo that serves
up over 60,000 square feet of entertainment, shopping, and fun for the whole
family! 130 RETAIL EXHIBITORS and non-profit booths will be featured at
LifeStyles, offering a unique getaway for people from all walks of life!
Expect autos, jewelry, clothes, home improvement, door prizes, kids
activities, and more! "A TASTE OF WAXAHACHIE" will feature an
entire room dedicated to serving up delicious samples from local restaurants
including a special Texas Wine & Cheese Tasting. THE MAIN STAGE located
inside the Main Ballroom will feature cooking classes, comedy acts, home
improvement tips, fashion shows, art demos, gardening how to's, and kid

WAXAHACHIE FOR THE 42ST ANNUAL GINGERBREAD TRAIL.
Victorian, Gingerbread, Gothic Revival, and Queen Anne are a few
architectural styles you'll see in Waxahachie. The 42nd Annual
Gingerbread Trail celebrates this architecture on Saturday, June 5th
and Sunday, June 6th, 10 AM to 4 PM. Tour our special
selection of five private homes. Get the inside scoop on restoration
triumphs and local ghost lore. Visit historically recognized
buildings such as the newly restored Ellis County Courthouse, the
Ellis County Museum, Sims Library, Ellis County Art Museum and view
vintage automobiles parked around the downtown square. |

HISTORIC WAXAHACHIE! The Ellis County Art Association
presents a PAINT OUT competition from May 29th through June 7th.
Landscape artists set up their easels and paint "on
location" throughout the historic downtown and along
Waxahachie’s "Gingerbread Trail". Special artist
activities include a 90 minute "quick draw", live auction,
and "wet paint sale" of more than 100 paintings completed
during the 10 day event. |
